Dear Hal,
I am back in Afghanistan but I wish I was back in Brackley
with you and your family. I’m at back at school I am finishing my last year of
school, I’m doing well at school. The life here is still horrible and violent
compared to Brackley. My father is working and seeing what he has done time and
time again. I enjoyed my time with you and your family in Australia and very
much miss it, I loved the lessons you taught me and seeing different cultures. I
am disappointed that the government didn’t understand my situation and were not
sympathetic. I am surprisingly missing your friends in Brackley and you, I wish
to be there soon. Please write back soon, I want to know how you are and how
your family is. I miss you and love you.
Love Randa
A great start, Lucy!
ReplyDeleteYou have included a lot of brief information. Do you think that perhaps you could delve a little deeper into Randa's thoughts. What sorts of things does she do on a day-to-day basis? Is she allowed to finish school do you think? Remember under the Taliban girls were not allowed to be formally educated. Are Randa and her father looking to try to reapply for refugee status in Australia?
Keep up the great work!
Miss Kelly :)
